Woman

Are we not women? Women.. capitalized. Insane, complex, fragile, strong, perplexing, gorgeous, loyal, disciplined, impetuous, mysterious women. I feel for the women in my life..of the world…so steadily filled with negatively shaped images of ourselves from birth. Society, family…place stigmas, demands on our characters that cannot be met easily, or at all. You are made to feel inferior if you weren’t blessed with certain physical attributes..whatever the media deems beautiful at this moment in time. The ironic part of physical beauty, is that you don’t require a skill to have “it”. You were born with it…whatever it may be. You … Continue reading Woman

It’s all about flow. Everyone has it inside of their soul… There is a spiritual river flowing inside of you. We spend our lives changing the true course of the water. From the moment we’re born, the water starts in a direction toward it’s destiny. We build dams, change patterns…try to swim up stream. We sit in it, unaware of it flowing all around us. We fight against it, pollute it…fear it. We allow it to drown us. The water will take us to where we are meant to be, sometimes it’s not our fault we get off course….but we have to get back in to swim, flow…

Borderless Humanity

I’ll get flack for this. I’m American…I need to adhere to the rules and regulations of that. Im not politically affiliated or interested. I know so many who think purely black and white, without one microscopic shade of grey. I was never really a strict rule follower..and grey slaps me in the face constantly. It leaves lasting marks. This mess we are in. A giant bowl of steaming hot crap. I’m finding it hard to really, truly believe as Americans, we think it’s ok. We live in these bordered Nations, that we have created for ourselves..which the heavens had nothing … Continue reading Borderless Humanity

My path to enlightenment…or at least, a flickering bulb

Mind over matter. It is sincerely my deepest source of strength. I can will myself to finish the hardest task. If necessary, I’ll lift the elephant out of the mud, pull the tree out of the ground by it’s roots, or stop the freight train with my bare hands. He is my strength, a higher power, the all-knowing infinite being. Faith carries me through…and yet… How do I know for sure that HE is really there? I have nothing physical in front of me providing proof. The miseries of life spiral avalanche style for many around me, and I can’t … Continue reading My path to enlightenment…or at least, a flickering bulb
